This apartment is located in a building – built in 1904 – in the typical style of those times. It is located on the 5th floor, in a building without elevator. It has a surface area of around 90 m². It has one bedroom with a double bed and a bright living room with two sofa beds. The apartment is partly furnished with original furniture in a ‘Liberty’ style, has a gas heating and is best suited
for 4 people. There are also two bathrooms (a big one and a small one). Apart from this, the apartment also has a splendid terrace which overlooks the quiet street, full of palaces from years gone by. There is also a little stereo system and a TV with a DVD player. Two bicycles are also available to guests: these are very useful in Berlin, which is a city with cycle lanes on the side of every street.
The apartment is located in the famous Bayerische Viertel, which is one of the most peaceful and favourite areas by the Berliners and tourists, characterised by the splendid Viktoria Luise Platz, a square which is all in a ‘liberty’ style. The apartment’s fantastic location and elegant ‘liberty’ atmosphere, which goes back to the splendid buildings’ façades, from the start of the 20th century, have made the Schöneberg district one of the most researched cultural and artistic centres in Berlin. In the nearby area there is also the shopping area ‘Kurfürstendamm’, with its many theatres, cafés, restaurants, boutiques and most smart galleries.
I enjoyed this flat all around -- the service was great and the location is fantastic. It is highly recommended. For the money, I think internet should be provided free-of-charge rather than as an 'extra'. A beautiful building and a very enjoyable stay.
